Overlooking “sideshow alley” at the Royal Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA). Commonly referred to as the Exhibition, locals soon shortened it again to the “EKKA”. The first show at Bowen Park dates back to 1876 under the name of “The Intercolonial Exhibition of 1876”. The first official Royal show was in 1921 under the new name of the Royal Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA).
